Mars Hill alum Landon Honeycutt signed with National Football League's (NFL) Cleveland Browns on Tuesday, August 6.
CLEVELAND, Ohio - Mars Hill alum Landon Honeycutt signed with the National Football League's (NFL) Cleveland Browns on Tuesday, August 6.
Honeycutt will make his debut in the Browns' preseason contest versus the Green Bay Packers on Saturday, August 10. Kickoff is set for 4:25 p.m.
Honeycutt, a native of Mount Pleasant, North Carolina, started in 45 games over five seasons for the Lions, totalling 370 tackles (150 solo), 44.5 tackles for loss, 18 sacks, four forced fumbles, and two interceptions.
Honeycutt was a three-time D2CCA All-Southeast Region First Team selection and three-time All-South Atlantic Conference First Team selection, being named the SAC Mountain Division Defensive Player of the Year in 2022.
In his final season with Mars Hill, he was named an AFCA Second Team All-American.
