Martin named SAC WePlayed Sports Offensive Player of the Week for second time
JR Martin's three TD day led the Lions to their fourth straight win.
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Mars Hill quarterback JR Martin was named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Football Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league Monday afternoon.
Martin, a senior from Suwanee, Ga., led Mars Hill to a 31-16 win over Anderson. He hit 18-of-28 passes, converting at a 64.3 percent clip, and threw for a pair of touchdowns and 345 yards. He added 10 carries for 36 yards and a rushing touchdown. With his team trailing 13-10, he ran for a TD to put the Lions up 17-13 in the third quarter. With the lead reduced to one, Marin threw a TD to seal the win.

The Lions wrap up the regular season on Saturday, November 16 when they face Limestone on the road. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m.
