Dawkins named Preseason All-SAC Second Team
Mars Hill was selected 12th in the preseason poll.
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Junior guard Kadyn Dawkins was named to the Preseason All-South Atlantic Conference Second Team, as announced by the league Friday morning.
Mars Hill was tabbed 12th in the preseason poll with 21 points.
Dawkins, a native of Greensboro, North Carolina, ranked fourth in the conference and led the Lions, averaging 19.4 points per game. Dawkins was the only Lions to start and appear in all 27 games this past season. He totalled 524 points on the year.
Dawkins led the Lions in field goals made (164), three-pointers (68), free throws made (128) and percentage (90.1). He also led the team with 80 assists and 48 steals. He finished second on the team with 86 rebounds.

Mars Hill opens the 2024-25 season on the road Friday, November 8 when they face Converse as part of the SAC/Conference Carolinas Challenge. Tipoff is set for 1 p.m. at Belmont, North Carolina.
