Malcom, McBride Selected in National Lacrosse League Draft
Anthony Malcom was the 11th overall pick (Buffalo Bandits) while Jimmy McBride was the 40th overall pick (Saskatchewan Rush)
TORONTO - Former Mars Hill University men's lacrosse players Anthony Malcom and Jimmy McBride were selected in the National Lacrosse League's 2015 draft held on Monday night in Toronto.
Malcom was the 11th overall pick in the draft and was the second round selection of the Buffalo Bandits. Malcom, the 2015 South Atlantic Conference Men's Lacrosse Player of the Year and a United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Honorable Mention All-American, scored 35 goals with 30 assists in 16 games.
McBride was chosen by the Saskatchewan Rush as the 40th pick in the draft. McBride scored 28 goals and tallied 11 assists while earning first team All-SAC honors at attack in 2015. McBride was the final selection in the fourth round of the draft.
Opening day for the 2016 NLL season is Friday, January 1.
