Stewart Named All-Conference Honorable Mention

ROCK HILL, S.C. – Junior midfielder Nathan Stewart has been named to the 2016 South Atlantic Conference All-Conference Team as an Honorable Mention which was announced by the league today.

Stewart started in all nine games for the Lions before going down with an injury late in the season. Although Stewart played only nine games he still managed to lead the team in several categories. He tallied a team-highs in goals (18), points (29), groundballs (47), and shot-on-goal percentage (68.9%) while also finishing second on the team with 11 assists.

Nathan had a stellar performance against the University of Indianapolis on February 20, ripping four goals past the keeper and collected a season-high nine groundballs on three separate occasions this year: Florida Southern (2/26), Wingate (3/5), and Coker (4/2). Stewart also netted a season-best five points against Pfeiffer on February 13.
