ANDERSON, S.C. - The Mars Hill men's lacrosse team (8-7, 4-5 SAC) was defeated by No. 9 Anderson (10-3, 8-1 SAC) by a score of 22-7 Saturday afternoon on the road.
Anderson carried a 9-1 advantage after the first quarter. Josh McCallion scored the lone Lions' goal of the frame.
Sam Arendt, in the second, scored two goals in a span of 2:13. Austin Stroud assisted on the second marker with 18 seconds left in the half.
In the fourth quarter, the Lions netted four goals, highlighted by a goalie goal from the stick of Xavier Wells. Arendt, Ben Hokenson, and AJ Howland also struck for the Lions.
Arendt led the Lions with three points (3G).
The Lions close out the regular season at home versus No. 2 Limestone on Wednesday, April 23. First faceoff is set for 4 p.m. inside Meares Stadium.
