Men's Tennis Defeats Lenoir-Rhyne

MARS HILL, N.C.- The Mars Hill tennis team earned a 6-3 victory over Lenoir-Rhyne on Sunday, fueled by wins on the third through sixth singles courts. Mars Hill improves to 6-4 overall and 3-3 in the South Atlantic Conference.
Euquerio Guerrero and Alberto Ortiz defeated Marvin Mueller and Patrick Bauer 8-5 on the top doubles court, with Sam Lee and Markus Gattner claiming an 8-4 victory over Filip Dobrosavljevic at the second flight.
Guerrero was a 6-4, 6-1 victor over Mueller at number one singles. After Lenoir-Rhyne won the next two singles matches to even the contest at 3, Carlos Suares Riesco claimed a hard-fought 7-6, 1-6, 7-6 victory over Dobrosavljevic at the fourth flight. Lee clinched the match for the Lions with a 6-0, 6-4 win over John Reid on court five, followed by a 4-6, 6-3, 1-0 win for Blake Covington over Matthew Ledford on court six.
Mars Hill travels to Queens on Tuesday.
