No. 36 Queens wins 7-2 over Mars Hill
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's tennis team lost 7-2 to No. 36 Queens University of Charlotte on Tuesday in South Atlantic Conference action. Mars Hill drops to 7-5 overall and 3-4 in the league while the Royals improve to 10-1 overall and 5-1 in the conference.
Carlos Suares Riesco was an 8-5 winner over Alvaro De La Osa at number four singles, while Sam Lee claimed an 8-1 victory at number five singles over Sean Harris. Euquerio Guerrero lost in three sets to Per-Erik Soler at the top singles flight, 6-1, 1-6, 6-4, in his first SAC singles defeat and first of the 2015 calendar year. Queens swept doubles competition for a 3-0 lead heading into singles play.
Mars Hill has a short turnaround, making the trip to Lincoln Memorial University on Wednesday.
