Mars Hill concludes Winthrop Adidas University Invitational
The Mars Hill men's track and field team wrapped up the Winthrop Adidas University Invitational Saturday afternoon.
ROCK HILL, S.C. - The Mars Hill men's track and field team wrapped up the Winthrop Adidas University Invitational Saturday afternoon.
Bryan Smith placed seventh in the triple jump with a mark of 12.62m (41'5"). Corey Whaley finished ninth in the event, jumping a distance of 11.71m (38'5"). In the discus, Tyler Holloway placed 22nd with a mark of 33.06m (108'5.75"). Kenan Foxx and Tymothy Jones finished 24th and 25th, respectively.
In the 1500 meter developmental, Mars Hill placed three runners in the top five. Matthew Rogers, Ethan Murray and William Barbee placed third-fifth, respectively. Rogers clocked in at 4:20.44 while Murray and Barbee ran times of 4:21.02 and 4:22.66. Skyler Cantrell and Brett Smythe placed 16th and 23rd, respectively.
Jared Stanley finished ninth in the 800 meter developmental and Garrett Farrimond placed 22nd in the 1500 meter. Stanley ran a time of 2:12.45 while Farrimond turned in a time of 4:27.84.
The team of Corey Whaley, Nicholas Izquierdo, Smith and Cameron France placed 10th in the 4 x 100 meter relay race with a time of 44.60.
