Women's Golf Finishes Wingate Intercollegiate
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Mars Hill women’s golf team wrapped up the Wingate Intercollegiate Challenge on Monday, March 21 shooting a team score of 353, two strokes better than its first round score.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Mars Hill women's golf team wrapped up the Wingate Intercollegiate Challenge on Monday, March 21 shooting a team score of 353, two strokes better than its first round score.
Sarah Johnson improved by nine strokes on her opening round 91 as she led the Lions with a final round of 82. Emma Lundvall shot a finishing 18, 85 and had a total score of 165 to lead the Blue and Gold for the two-day tournament. Marie Syvertsen also tallied a better round on day two than day one, cutting her opening mark of 95 down to a 92.
The Lions will return to action in one week as they will compete in the Cherokee Valley Invitational. The two-day tournament will be hosted by North Greenville University at the Cherokee Valley Golf Course in Travelers Rest, S.C.
