SALISBURY, N.C. - The Mars Hill women's soccer team (0-5-1, 0-2 SAC) was defeated by a score of 3-0 on the road versus Catawba Saturday evening.
The Indians scored twice in the first half, the first coming off the foot of Jovana Sanchez in the 17th minute. Just over 20 minutes later, Courney Reavis doubled the Catawba lead.
Reavis added an assist on the night as she figured in on Maddie Chapel's tally in the 70th minute to put Catawba up 3-0 with just over 20 minutes to play.
Sanne Martinsen led all players with four shots on the evening. The goalkeeping duo of Clare Witt and Victoria Forren made six saves on the evening with Forren stopping four.
The Lions return home on Sunday, September 29 when they host the Cobras of Coker. The action is slated for a 1 p.m. start.
