Lions compete at JDL Last Chance
The Mars Hill women's indoor track and field team traveled to Winston-Salem, North Carolina to compete in the JDL Last Chance Meet at JDL Fast Track.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Mars Hill women's indoor track and field team traveled to Winston-Salem, North Carolina to compete in the JDL Last Chance Meet at JDL Fast Track. NCAA teams across all divisions competed in todays meet. The Lions took a small part of the team to compete in what was their last meet before next weekend's South Atlantic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championship, which will take place at JDL Fast Track.
Makayla Rogers picked up an event win in long jump, placing 1st overall with a mark of 5.09m (16' 7.25").
Simone Giggetts and Rogers both advanced to the finals in the 60m hurdles. Giggetts finished 6th in the finals with a personal best 9.46s. Rogers placed 8th overall with a time of 9.56s.
Lindsey Jenkins competed in the 800m run. Jenkins placed 7th overall with a time of 2:30.39.

The Lions compete Saturday, February 24th and Sunday, February 25th in the SAC Indoor Championships.
