Mars Hill competes at Catamount Classic
The Mars Hill women's outdoor track & field team traveled to Cullowhee, North Carolina over the weekend to compete in the Catamount Classic hosted by Western Carolina University.
CULLOWHEE, N.C. - The Mars Hill women's outdoor track & field team traveled to Cullowhee, North Carolina over the weekend to compete in the Catamount Classic hosted by Western Carolina University.
Day 1 Highlights
Haley Eddinger competed in women's Pole Vault. Eddinger placed 8th overall with a vault of 2.95m.
Alina Mueller placed 6th in Javelin with a throw of 29.82m.
Emma Bridges set a new personal best in Javelin. Bridges threw 27.47m, placing 9th overall.
MyKayla King placed 11th in Javelin with a throw of 25.97m. King placed 11th overeall.
Sarah McNeil set a new personal best in the 1500m run with a time of 5:48.31. McNeil bettered her time by 7 seconds. McNeil placed 34th overall.
Day 2 Highlights
Bailey Beeman competed in both Discus and Shot Put. Beeman set a personal best in Discus with a throw of 27.99m. Beeman set a personal best in Shot Put with a throw of 9.95m. Beeman placed 18th overall in Discus and 14th in Shot Put.
Kayla Rice set personal bests in both Discus and Shot Put. Rice threw 25.98m in Discus and 7.56m in Shot Put. Rice placed 20th in Discus and 23rd in Shot Put.
La'Miya Blake set a personal best in Shot Put with a throw of 9.87m. Blake placed 15th overall.
Elana Mackey established a season best in the 400m run with a time of 1:05.29. Mackey placed 13th overall.
Alizee Piette competed in her first collegiate 400m run. Piette placed 18th overall with a time of 1:11.78.
Next up, the Lions travel to Boone, North Carolina on Saturday, April 27th to compete in the App State Open hosted by Appalachian State University.
