MHU kicks off season at Get Your Marks Field Meet
The Mars Hill women's indoor track & field team kicked off the Indoor Track Season on Saturday in Winston-Salem, North Carolina at the Get Your Marks Field Meet hosted by JDL Fast Track.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Mars Hill women's indoor track & field team kicked off the Indoor Track Season on Saturday in Winston-Salem, North Carolina at the Get Your Marks Field Meet hosted by JDL Fast Track.
Only field events were contested – High Jump, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Pole Vault, Shot Put, Weight Throw. The meet was an opportunity primarily for freshmen athletes and athletes without a collegiate mark in a field event to obtain a mark prior to upcoming December/January meets where a mark is required for entry.
Haley Eddinger placed first in Women's Pole Vault with a vault of 3.05m (10'). Eddinger captured her first event win in her collegiate career.
Amaya Casiano placed 11th in women's long jump with a jump of 4.66m (15' 3.5").
La'Miya Blake's fifth place finish in Women's Shot Put was cemented with a personal best throw of 10.37m (34' 0.25").
