
Lions tabbed sixth on CC Preseason Poll
This marks the highest preseason rank for the team in its program history.
GREENVILLE, S.C. - The Mars Hill acrobatics and tumbling team was selected sixth out of 11 teams in the Conference Carolinas preseason poll, as released by the conference office Wednesday afternoon.
The rank is the highest the Lions have ever been in a preaseason poll in their four year history. They received 50 points in the votes submitted by league coaches.
The following were listed as athletes to watch for the upcoming season:
- Nasiri Mond, Sr., Top/Tumbler, Humble, Texas
- Zoey Franklin, So., Top/Tumbler, Rome, Georgia
- Jocelyn Wente, Sr., Base/Mid/Tumbler, Friendsville, Tennessee (2024 second team All-Conference Carolinas)

The Lions open their schedule on Sunday, February 9 on the road versus Francis Marion. The meet is set for a 2 p.m. start time. Their first home meet will be on Thursday, February 20 when they host Newberry inside Chambers Gymnasium at 6 p.m.
