Lumley Claims Medalist Honors at Anderson Invitational
Junior Adam Lumley won a one-hole playoff to claim medalist honors at the season-opening Anderson Invitational
ANDERSON, S.C. - Mars Hill junior Adam Lumley was the individual medalist at the 2015 Anderson Invitational as he defeated Erskine's Bernie McShane in a one-hole playoff in Tuesday's final round. As a team, the Lions finished in fifth place with a team score of 620 in their first tournament of the season.
Lumley shot a five-over-par 77 on Tuesday for a combined score of 147. He was also part of the All-Tournament team. Nick Caruso also finished with 77 on Tuesday and a total score of 161, putting him in a tie for 33rd place. Antonio Douat finished in a tie for 24th with a 36-hole total of 158 following an 80 in the final round. Filip Andersson and Alejandro Canizares each shot an 83 on Tuesday, with Anderson finishing tied for 31st with a 160 and Canizares tied for 33rd with a 161.
Tournament host Anderson was the team winner with a combined score of 608, four strokes better than Lenoir-Rhyne.
