Men's Golf Finishes in 11th at State Farm Intercollegiate
Adam Lumley led the Lions with a 16th place finish
TAZEWELL, TENN. – The Mars Hill men's golf team finished in 11th place at the 2015 State Farm Intercollegiate held at the Woodlake Country Club.
Adam Lumley led Mars Hill as he tied for 16th place with a 54-hole score of 218. Lumley led Mars Hill in the final round with a one-over-par 73. Chevy Hartzog tied for 46th after a final round 76 gave him a tournament total of 227. Alejandro Canizares shot a two-over-par 74 in the final round to finish with a 229 and a tie for 51st. Francesc Llinas finished in 54th with a 230 after shooting an 81 in the final round, with Nick Caruso recording a 77 to finish with a 245.
Carson-Newman won the tournament with a team score of 850, followed by Lincoln Memorial with an 851. Tusculum's Brad Hawkins was the individual medalist.
The State Farm Intercollegiate concludes the fall season for Mars Hill. The Lions begin the spring portion of their schedule at the Newberry Invitational in Kiawah Island, S.C. on February 22-23.
