Men's Golf Take Eighth At Tennessee River Rumble
LOUDON, TENN. – Junior Adam Lumley shaved 12 strokes off of his opening round score to shoot a team-best 73 in the final round of the Tennessee River Rumble on Tuesday, April 05.
LOUDON, TENN. – Junior Adam Lumley shaved 12 strokes off of his opening round score to shoot a team-best 73 in the final round of the Tennessee River Rumble on Tuesday, April 05. The Lions as a group were able to take 18 strokes off their total from day one to shoot a 309 (+21), which was good enough for eighth place.
Ken Dixon picked up seven strokes from his opening-round total, shooting an 86 (+14) on day two. Alejandro Canizares was also able to shred his initial score, cutting off five strokes in day two for a 78 (+6).
Nick Caruso was consistent for the tournament, taking his day one 79 (+7) and turning it into a final round 77 (+5). Chevy Hartzog gave one stroke back to the course on day two, firing a round of 81 (+9) to round out the team's totals.
Carson-Newman captured the team crown with a two-day total of 598 (+22), while the Eagles' Dalton Reese took home the individual honors, completing the 36-hole tournament with a total score of 145 (+1)
Mars Hill will be back in action on Saturday, April 16 as it turns its attention to the South Atlantic Conference Championships in Etowah, N.C.
