Bertilsson strikes twice in win over Converse
The Mars Hill men's soccer team (1-1-0) picked up up their first win of the season, downing Converse (1-1-0) by a score of 3-0 Sunday evening inside the Ammons Family Athletic Center and Meares Stadium.

MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's soccer team (1-1-0) picked up up their first win of the season, downing Converse (1-1-0) by a score of 3-0 Sunday evening inside the Ammons Family Athletic Center and Meares Stadium.
The Lion offense dominated the contest, outshooting the Valkyries 22-7. With just under 10 minutes played, Jake White opened the scoring with his first career goal, tapping in a Jeppe Christensen corner kick.
Sebastian Bertilsson netted his first of the night just over a minute later, heading in a pass from Braxton Robinson.
Bertilsson scored his second of the game in the 59th minute, booting in a crossing pass from Kevonte Willoughby-Williams inside the far post to put the Lions up by three.
Brennan Whalen made three saves for his first shutout of the season.
Mars Hill returns to action on Wednesday, September 8 when they take on King to open up a four-game road trip. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m
