Men's Swimming Defeats King
Mars Hill defeated King 166-50
MARS HILL, N.C.- The Mars Hill men's swimming team claimed all 14 events en route to a 166-50 victory over King University on Saturday at Harrell Pool. Mars Hill improves to 3-0 in dual meets during the 2015-16 season.
Brett Malmstrom and Brady Rothschild each had three event wins. Malmstrom claimed the 1000 freestyle (10:30.13), 500 freestyle (5:06.90) and 200 butterfly (2:04.15). Rothschild was the winner in the 100 breaststroke (1:03.48), 200 breaststroke (2:20.72) and 200 individual medley (2:10.32).
Harrison Butler swept the backstroke events, claiming the 100 backstroke in 54.85 seconds and 200 backstroke in 2:00.11. Trey Mason won the 200 freestyle in 1:54.22. Vitor Goncalves won the 100 freestyle in 49.16 seconds. Drew Rosser was the winner in the 500 freestyle with a time of 22.52 seconds. David Hallberg won the 100 butterfly in 55.24 seconds.
Mars Hill returns to action at the Sewanee Invite on October 30 and 31.
