Men's Swimming Sweeps Senior Night
Mars Hill defeated Milligan and Warren Wilson
MARS HILL, N.C.- The Mars Hill men's swimming team celebrated Senior Night with a pair of victories, defeating Warren Wilson 166-30 and Milligan 165-23. The Lions are undefeated in dual meets this season.
Brady Rothschild won three individual events to lead the Lions. Rothschild claimed the 50 breaststroke (29.11), 100 breaststroke (1:03.36) and 200 individual medley (2:07.91). Kendall Corbett, Vitor Goncalves and David Hallberg won two events. Corbett won the 50 backstroke in 26.49 and 50 butterfly (24.73). Goncalves was the winner in the 100 freestyle (49.00) and 200 freestyle (1:49.18) while Hallberg claimed the 500 freestyle (5:02.04) and 100 butterfly (55.24).
Drew Rosser was the winner of the 50 freestyle (22.23). Harrison Butler claimed the 100 backstroke (55.64).
The 200 freestyle relay team of Rosser, Ryan Martin, Trey Mason and Corbett had the fastest time as they touched at 1:29.56 in an exhibition.
Devin Abernathy, Bill Barrett, Mason, Zach Naelitz, Rosser and Rothschild were honored during the meet as part of Senior Night.
Mars Hill will compete at the Igloo Invite in Sewanee, Tenn. on November 20th and 21st. The Lions won the Sewanee Invite last weekend.
