Guyer Earns Appalachian Swimming Conference Coach of the Year
MARS HILL, N.C. – Mars Hill’s men’s and women’s swim coach Teddy Guyer has been named the Appalachian Swimming Conference Men’s Coach of the Year as announced by the league on Monday, February 15.
MARS HILL, N.C. – Mars Hill's men's and women's swim coach Teddy Guyer has been named the Appalachian Swimming Conference Men's Coach of the Year as announced by the league on Monday, February 15. This is Guyer's fourth time being honored as the top coach within the conference.
Teddy has guided the men's team to an impressive 5-1 record during dual meets this season and has watched his team win the Sewanee and Igloo invites. The women's team has also fared very well under the guidance of Guyer, sporting a 4-2 overall record in dual meets.
Teddy has been the coach of the Mars Hill Lions swim program since its inception in 2005. Guyer holds over 30 years of experience in coaching and aquatics and has coached 53 All Conference Swimmers, has had 15 swimmers make NCAA National Cuts, and has coached a swimmer to All-American status in 2013 and All-American honorable mention status in 2011 and 2012.
