Men Capture Third Place Finish at ASC Conference Meet
CHRISTIANSBURG, VA. – The Mars Hill men’s swim team wrapped up the ASC Conference Meet with a solid third place finish out of 13 teams.
CHRISTIANSBURG, VA. – The Mars Hill men's swim team wrapped up the ASC Conference Meet with a solid third place finish out of 13 teams. Several swimmers were able to make an impact on the standings during the concluding day of the meet.
Matthew Walker was able to set a new school record in the 1650 free with a blistering time of 16:27.99. His teammate David Hallberg also did very well in the event as he finished in sixth place.
The Lions' swimmers stood out in the 200 breast with Brady Rothschild and Brian Davis finishing third and fourth, respectively.
Grant Greenhill touched the wall with a fourth place finish in the 200 back and Harrison Butler finished just behind him in sixth.
The 400 free relay team of Harrison Butler, Drew Martin, Vitor Goncalves, and Ryan Martin had another impressive showing with a fifth place tally.
Rosser and Goncalves also fared well in the 100 free with sixth and eighth place finishes, respectively.
The team will return to action Saturday, February 20 as they head to the Queen City of Charlotte, N.C. to compete in the Queens Invite.
