Ricker Earns Spot On NCCSIA All-State Team
Mars Hill junior Ansley Ricker has been named to the North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA) 2013-14 College Division All-State Team, which was released on Wednesday.
HIGH POINT, N.C. - Mars Hill junior Ansley Ricker has been named to the North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA) 2013-14 College Division All-State Team, which was released on Wednesday.
Ricker was named to the second team, adding to a season in which Ricker received second team All-SAC honors as well as being named the SAC Scholar-Athlete.
Ricker led Mars Hill and was third in the league with an average of 17.8 points per game and finished third in the league in three-point shooting percentage, making 35.4 percent of her attempts. Ricker scored a career-high 37 points at Lenoir-Rhyne on January 25.
Joining Ricker on the second team are Belmont Abbey's McKenzie Owen, Gabby Oglesby of Guilford, Jasmine McDonald of Mount Olive and Shonice Pettaway of Queens.
Nominees were submitted by North Carolina sports information professionals and voted on by the NCCSIA members
Founded in 2002, The North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA) is comprised of sports information professionals from NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA and independent institutions from the state of North Carolina. The purpose of the organization is to promote collegiate athletics at all schools. Membership is open to anyone affiliated with a college, university or conference located in North Carolina, and whose area of responsibility lies within sports information.
