Mars Hill mounts late charge to topple Trojans
The Mars Hill women's soccer team (2-1) defeated Mount Olive (1-3) by a score of 2-1 Saturday afternoon on the road.

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Mars Hill women's soccer team (2-1) defeated Mount Olive (1-3) by a score of 2-1 Saturday afternoon on the road.
With three minutes remaining in the contest, Carla Humera scored her first career goal, breaking the 1-1 tie and leading the Lions to their second win of the season.
Mount Olive struck first in the 13th minute of play as Emily Hein scored. Towards the end of the first half, Marianne Ross scored her first as a Lion, tying the game with just over four minutes to play in the frame.
Camryn Miller made six saves in the win.
Mars Hill opens up South Atlantic Conference play on Wednesday, September 7 when they take to the road to face Newberry. Kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m.
