NEWBERRY, S.C. - The Mars Hill women's soccer team (4-8-2, 1-7-2 SAC) was defeated by Newberry (5-8-1, 4-5-0 SAC) by a score of 1-0.
The game between the two was originally started on September 7. They were able to play just over 60 minutes before inclement weather forced the finish of the contest to be postponed.
Just over three minutes into the second half, Avalina Espinoza scored the lone goal. The marker held for the final 30 minutes of play on Wednesday evening.
Jaidyn Jacobs led all players with 11 shots with five on target. Marianne Ross led the Lions with three attempts with two on goal.
Camryn Miller tied a career-high with 14 saves in the contest.
