HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Mars Hill women's tennis team dropped a narrow decision to conference foe Coker on Saturday, April 16 at the Coker Tennis Courts. The Lions fall to 4-14 on the season.
Samantha Echevarria dominated the No. 1 singles with a commanding 6-2, 6-2 win over the Cobras, while Jasha Geerdink followed suit with an impressive 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 2. Coker swept No. 3 through No. 6 singles.
Echevarria and Geerdink teamed up to take an 8-5 decision in the No. 1 doubles match. Lucy McLaurin and Natalie Hilbig captured a win in the No. 3 singles by that same score.
