Mars Hill places seventh at SAC Championships
The Mars Hill women's track and field team placed seventh overall Saturday at the conclusion of the 2019 South Atlantic Conference Championships.
HICKORY, N.C. - The Mars Hill women's track and field team placed seventh overall Saturday at the conclusion of the 2019 South Atlantic Conference Championships.
Entering Saturday with 8.5 points, the Lions accumulated 26 on day two to move from eighth to seventh.
Claiming victory in the triple jump, Shaniqua Stevens earned 10 points for the Lions. Stevens recorded a distance of 11.33 meters. Kylee Peck earned six points with her third place finish in the high jump, recording a mark of 1.57 meters.
Tiffany Holloway placed fifth overall in the shot put, posting a mark of 12.04 meters for four points. Holloway collected another three points for Mars Hill with a sixth place finish in the discus. She posted a mark of 36.90 meters.
Mars Hill concluded the meet with 34.5 points.
