Relays Lead Way in Opening Day of N.C. State Invitational
The Mars Hill men’s swimming team is in eighth place following the opening day of the N.C. State Invitational at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.
GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's swimming team is in eighth place following the opening day of the N.C. State Invitational at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.
In the 400 Yard Medley Relay, David Hallberg, Ludovico Corsini, Alandas McGraw and Trey Mason finished as the top NCAA Division II team at the meet with a time of 3:42.65. The men's 200-yard Freestyle Relay team of Corsini, Justin Gale, Mason and Ryan Martin finished in 14th place with a time of 1:29.9.
Hallberg was the top-finishing Lion in the 500 Freestyle with a mark of 4:56.42. Brady Rothschild led the Lions in the 200 Yard IM, completing the race in 2:04.25. Trey Mason was the fastest of five Mars Hill swimmers in the 50 Yard Freestyle, finishing in 22.77 seconds.
The N.C. State Invitational is scheduled to continue tomorrow beginning at 10 a.m.
