Men's Swimming Falls to West Virginia Tech
The Mars Hill men’s swimming team suffered their first loss of the season to West Virginia Tech, falling 118-85.
MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's swimming team suffered their first loss of the season to West Virginia Tech, falling 119-86. The Lions are 3-1 in dual meets on the 2014-15 season.
Trey Mason was the winner in the 200 Yard Freestyle, finishing in 1:51.62. Mason finished in third place in the 100 Yard Freestyle.
Ludovico Corsini won the 100 Yard Breaststroke in 59.02. Corsini is undefeated in dual meets in the 100 Breaststroke. Corsini finished second in the 50 Freestyle in 22.77 seconds.
Brett Malmstrom was the winner in the 1000 Yard Freestyle in 10:15.46. Malmstrom was the runner-up in the 500 yard Freestyle in 4:58.92
Brady Rothschild finished in second place in the 200 Yard IM with a time of 2:06.54. Ryan Martin was the runner-up in the 100 Yard Freestyle with a time of 49.72 seconds.
The 200 Yard Medley Relay team of Kendall Corbett, Corsini, Rothschild and Martin finished in second place with a time of 1:39.59. The 200 Yard Freestyle Relay squad of Shane Whicker, Justin Gale, Ryan Martin and Mason finished in second with a time of 1:31.41.
Mars Hill returns to action on Friday, November 21 at the Fall Frenzy meet in Charlotte.
