Mars Hill falls to EHC on road

MEADOWVIEW, Va. - The Mars Hill men's basketball team (3-9, 0-4 SAC) was defeated by Emory & Henry (9-4, 2-3 SAC) by a score of 87-67 Wednesday night.
Emory & Henry opened the game on an 8-0 run and never looked back. Mars Hill clawed to within three points several times in the first half of play, but the Wasps would hold off the charging Lions.
Gabe Brown led all players with 10 points after the first 20 minutes of play. Trey Belin led the Lions with seven points followed by six apiece from Rajuan Conner and Kory Davis. Conner led all players with seven rebounds.
The Wasps outscored Mars Hill 54-40 in the second half, shooting over 64 percent from the floor. Brown led all players with 15 points. Kendall Davis led the Lions with 11 points while Prosper Obidiebube netted eight.
Brown led all players with 25 points on the night while Jake Moynihan and Jalen Leftwich each added 11 apiece.
Four Lions recorded double-digit points on the night with Kendall Davis' 11 leading the way. Conner, Obidiebube, and Belin each ended the night with 10 points.
Mars Hill returns to the court on Saturday, January 7 when they take on Tusculum. Tipoff is set for 4 p.m.
