Mars Hill rolls Lees-McRae for first win of 2022
The Mars Hill men's lacrosse team (1-1) defeated Lees-McRae (0-2) by a score of 25-14 Wednesday evening.

BANNER ELK, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's lacrosse team (1-1) defeated Lees-McRae (0-2) by a score of 25-14 Wednesday evening.
The win marks Joe Turner's first as a head coach in his first season.
Zac Carrigan netted 10 goals and 13 points on the night, setting Mars Hill records for most goals and points in a game. Trevor Kennedy netted six goals while Austin Stroud added six points off of one goal and five assists.
Brandon Woodward scored twice and added one assist while Cole Ross netted two goals. George Yanssens picked up one goal and one assist.
Steven Smith made 10 save for the win.
The Lions open their home slate on Saturday, February 12 when they host Shorter. Faceoff inside Meares Stadium is set for 12 p.m.
