Cobras' strong second half downs Lions

MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's lacrosse team (4-8, 0-7 SAC) was defeated by Coker (2-10, 2-4 SAC) by a score of 13-11 Saturday afternoon.
The Lions led 8-4 after the first 30 minutes of play. Coker, in the third quarter, pulled within one heading into the fourth, outscoring the Lions 3-0 with goals from Sean Moran, Will Haber, and Justin Beighey. Zyaire Marshall picked up two assists in the frame.
Their offense continued in the fourth, scoring six in the frame, including a 4-0 run in a span of 2:23.
Mars Hill scored the first two goals of the contest in just 24 seconds, both coming from Zac Carrigan. He netted two more in the stanza and assisted on Trevor Kennedy's marker, giving him five points in the first.
The teams traded goals in the second with the Lions getting goals from Carrigan, Braden Hoskyn, and Brandon Woodward.
Carrigan led all players with eight points (6g, 2a) followed by Beighey (5g) and Moran's (1g, 4 a) five points.
Ethan Hofert made 11 stops for the win while Alex Oleschuk stopped 19 shots on the day.
Mars Hill returns to action on Friday, April 8 when they face Catawba on the road. Faceoff is set for 7 p.m.
