
Marshall named to All-SAC Second Team
Senior guard De'Ja Marshall was named to the 2020-21 All-South Atlantic Conference Second Team, as announced by the league Wednesday morning.
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Senior guard De'Ja Marshall was named to the 2020-21 All-South Atlantic Conference Second Team, as announced by the league Wednesday morning.
Marshall led the Lions and was second in the conference in points per game (20.6) and rebounds per game (12.7). She collected league leading 215 defensive rebounds and 46 steals and hit 150 field goals on the year, also leading the SAC. Marshall played over 725 minutes on the year, ranking third overall in the conference.
The Chester, S.C. native recorded 14 double-doubles on the year. In the season opening game versus Queens, Marshall ended the night with 33 points, establishing a new career-high. At the end of the week, Marshall was named SAC Player of the Week. She set a career-high in rebounds versus UVA Wise with 19 and later matched that on the road versus Lincoln Memorial.
Prior to the season, Marshall was named a preseason All-SAC Second Team selection.
