The Mars Hill women’s soccer team (3-12-0, 2-8-0 SAC) lost by a score of 1-0 to Queens (8-6-1, 4-5-1 SAC) Saturday afternoon at the Ammons Family Athletic Center and Meares Stadium on the team’s Senior Day.

MARS HILL, N.C. – The Mars Hill women's soccer team (3-12-0, 2-8-0 SAC) lost by a score of 1-0 to Queens (8-6-1, 4-5-1 SAC) Saturday afternoon at the Ammons Family Athletic Center and Meares Stadium on the team's Senior Day.
Less than eight minutes into the contest, the Royals took the early 1-0 lead. Charlotte Ring, from the top right corner of the box, lofted a shot towards net that fell just under the crossbar and into the back of the net for the lone goal of the day.
Prior to the start of the contest, the six seniors were recognized for their contributions to the team and program. The seniors included Leah Hairfield, Josie Matlick, Julia Johnson, Paige Thompson, Kanani Thomas and Jessica Zedek.
The Lions finished the 2018 season with a record of 3-12-0, 2-8-0 SAC.
