Viscusi, Women's Cross Country Victorious at Catawba Invitational
The Mars Hill women’s cross country team opened the 2014 season with a win at the Catawba Invitational on Friday.
SALISBURY, N.C.- The Mars Hill women's cross country team opened the 2014 season with a win at the Catawba Invitational on Friday.
Senior Jessica Viscusi was the overall winner, crossing the line in 19:47. Viscusi qualified for the 2013 NCAA Division II national meet. Senior Faith Trammell finished in fourth place, followed by freshman Kaleigh Jackson in fifth. Shelby Robinson crossed the finish line in ninth place, with Dawn Radford finishing in 11th place.
Mars Hill finished with 29 points, followed by Meredith (78), Brevard (81) and Winston-Salem State (130).
The women will travel to Greenville, S.C. next Saturday to compete in the Furman Invitational.
