Women's Cross Country Earns Sixth Place Finish at SAC Championship
The Mars Hill women's cross country team finished in sixth place at the 2014 South Atlantic Conference Championships.
SALISBURY, N.C. - The Mars Hill women's cross country team finished in sixth place at the 2014 South Atlantic Conference Championships, held at Salisbury Community Park in Salisbury, N.C.
Senior Jessica Viscusi finished in third place with a 5-kilometer time of 18:37.85. Faith Trammell took home a sixth place finish with a time of 19:10.99. Megan Smith finished in 20th place after crossing the finish line in 19:51.68. Anje Kidd navigated the course in 20:22.98 to finish in 39th, followed by Dawn Radford in 42nd with a time of 20:34.85. Savannah Hulbert finished in 44th with a time of 20:56.45, closely followed by Shelby Robinson in 45th as she posted a 21:04.03 mark. Viscusi and Trammell earned First Team All-SAC honors, with Smith earning Honorable Mention recognition.
Other finishers for the Lions were Andrea Wolfrey (22:20.74), Kaleigh Jackson (22:34.12) and Vanessa Viscusi (23:38.16).
Mars Hill will compete at the Southeast Regional Championships in two weeks in Montevallo, Ala.
