Viscusi Finishes in Third Place at Southeast Regional Championship
Senior Jessica Viscusi has qualified for the NCAA National Championship meet for the second consecutive season after finishing in third place at the Southeast Regional Championships. Mars Hill finished in seventh place.
MONTEVALLO, Ala.- Senior Jessica Viscusi has qualified for the NCAA National Championship meet for the second consecutive season after finishing in third place at the Southeast Regional Championships on Saturday.
Viscusi navigated the 6-kilometer course in 22:34.2 and earned All-Southeast Region honors. Faith Trammell finished in 27th place, crossing the finish line in 23:54. Kaleigh Jackson crossed the finish line in 39th place (24:17.2), followed by Megan Smith (25:01.1) in 74th and Anje Kidd in 76th (25:04.3). Shelby Robinson finished in 100th place (25:33.7), with Savannah Hulbert in 113th (26:16.1)
The Lions finished in seventh place in the team standings. The NCAA DII National Championship meet will take place on December 6 in Louisville, Ky.
