Men's Track Sets Two Meet Records at Terrier Relays

Derek Gibson set a new personal and meet record with a victory in the 3000 meter Steeplechase in 9:30. Gibson is four seconds away from qualifying for nationals. Marcus Foster set a new school record in the 400 meter Hurdles, finishing in 55.96. Alex Griggs won the 5000 meters in a meet-record 15:19. Travis Riner won the Discus and Shotput for the second consecutive meet. Michael Koch set a new personal record in the Javelin with a throw of 35 meters.
The team makes the short trip to Cullowhee next weekend for the WCU Invitational.
