TIGERVILLE, S.C. – Mars Hill lost on the road at North Greenville, 2-0, Wednesday night at Pepsi Stadium. The Lions fell to 0-2-1 on the year while the Crusaders improved to 3-2 on the season.
After 85 minutes of scoreless play, Ansley Dobbs notched the match winner (85:02) on an unassisted breakaway. Two minutes later (87:44) Lindsay Tuten added an insurance goal. Her score was also unassisted.
NGU outshot the Lions, 16-8. Corner kicks were knotted at two apiece while the Lions were called offsides once.
Maslyn Greene played all 90 minutes in goal for MHU and made seven saves. Kathryn Tate also played the entire match in the net for the Crusaders and made five saves.
Mars Hill will host SAC foe Tusculum College on Saturday. Game time is set for a 12 p.m. start.
