Women's Soccer to Host "Pink Week"

MARS HILL, N.C.-- Next week, Mars Hill's women's soccer team will host "Pink Week" at their two home matches to raise money for the local chapter of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

All donations to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation are eligible to win prizes. The team will host Carson-Newman Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 5:00 p.m., and  Brevard Friday, Oct. 27 at 5:00 p.m. During the matches, the team will be wearing pink uniforms to show support for Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Donations will begin being accepted when gates open at 4:00 p.m. until the end of the first half.

All proceeds raised will go directly to the local chapter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation. The foundation is dedicated to education and research about causes, treatment and searches to a cure for breast cancer.
