Lions shutout for second straight game, downed by Queens

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Mars Hill Lions women's soccer team fell on the road to Queens, 3-0, Saturday evening. Kaitlyn Danglemaier made seven saves in the contest.
The Royals' Thea Mallet scored twice in the first half.
Her first of the night and fifth of the season came off of a free kick in the 20' minute. Her second tally came from long range as she booted the ball in from outside the 18-yard box less than seven minutes later to put Queens up 2-0.
Emma Rose Stockton would strike from outside the box in the 49' minute for her second of the season. All of the Royals' goals were unassisted.
The Lions fall to 2-7-1 (1-5 SAC) while Queens improves to 7-2-1 (5-2 SAC). Mars Hill returns home to face Lander on Tuesday, October 10. Start time is scheduled for 5 p.m.
