Lions felled by No. 19 Catawba

The Mars Hill women's soccer team (1-10-1, 0-7-1 SAC) was felled by No. 19 Catawba (9-1-4, 7-0-2 SAC) Saturday night.

SALISBURY, N.C - The Mars Hill women's soccer team (1-10-1, 0-7-1 SAC) was felled by No. 19 Catawba (9-1-4, 7-0-2 SAC) by a score of 6-0 Saturday night on the road.

Mars Hill kept Catawba scoreless in the first half, thanks to four saves from goalkeeper Camryn Miller. However, Catawba broke through in the second half, scoring six goals, including a penalty kick from Lillie Rusher and a hat-trick by Kylie Morin. Morin and Alexah Fite led all players with five shot attempts.

Louise Borgudd led the Lions with two shot attempts followed by one from Lauren Ford.

Mars Hill will return home to play Tusculum on Tuesday, October 29 inside Meares Stadium at 7 p.m.
