Mars Hill drops game two of weekend series at NGU
The Mars Hill baseball team (0-3) was defeated by North Georgia (2-0) by a score of 10-2 Saturday afternoon.

DAHLONEGA, Ga. - The Mars Hill baseball team (0-3) was defeated by North Georgia (2-0) by a score of 10-2 Saturday afternoon.
Tied at one after two innings played, the Nighthawks plated three in the bottom of the third, highlighted by Conner Frost's two-run single to put North Georgia up 4-1 after three.
Chris Bleeker brought the contest to within two in the top of the fourth with a solo home run. North Georgia responded in the bottom of the fifth off of Jorge Arispuro's RBI single.
North Georgia pulled away in the bottom of the seventh, plating five runs as Arispuro and Frost both recorded RBI doubles. Jace Bowen collected two RBI with a single to center.
Both teams recorded nine hits on the afternoon. Alex Naran led all players with three. Arispuro, Connor Frost, and Riley Frost each had two apiece for the Nighthawks. Connor Frost led all players with three RBI.
Dylan Noce picked up the win, allowing two runs on seven hits in four innings, striking out five.
The Lions wrap up the three-game series on Sunday, February 5. First pitch is set for 1 p.m.
