Lions Break Two School-Records at Radford
RADFORD, VA.-Members of the Mars Hill men's track and field team had two members set new school-records in the Highlander Invitational, held Friday and Saturday at Radford University.
Eric Blackburn placed seventh overall and won Heat #2 of the 800 Meter Run with a school-record time of 1:56.74. The senior broke a nine-year old record by half a second. Jonathan Spence finished 10th overall with a time of 2:02.84. The duo finished ahead of runners from several Division I schools.
Travis Riner set a new school-record and placed third in the Shot Put with a throw of 51' 4". That throw was nearly two feet better than his previous school-record, which was set three weeks ago at the Wofford Invitational.

Mars Hill will compete in the North Carolina A&T Last-Chance Meet, which will be held May 12.
