Lions Compete at Liberty Twilight Meet

LYNCHBURG, VA. – The Mars Hill men's and women's track team sent a handful of student-athletes to compete in the Liberty Twilight Meet on Wednesday afternoon.
Shanika Williams was the top performer for the Blue and Gold as she took home a fifth-place finish in the long jump event, posting a distance of 17' 3.5". The field consisted of 21 jumpers, including last year's Division II National Champion.
Spencer Shade cleared a height of 13' 1" in the pole vault, good enough for 12th place overall, while Cameron France ran an 11.6 seconds in the 100 meter dash and 22.36 in the 200, finishing in 22nd and 16th places, respectively.
This meet concludes the spring portion of the 2017 schedule as the teams have already began to train for the upcoming fall season.
