GAFFNEY, S.C. - The Mars Hill women's soccer team (2-7-1, 0-5 SAC) fell to Limestone (7-1-1, 3-1-1 SAC) by a score of 1-0 on the road Saturday evening.
Abbie Iddenden scored her second goal of the year in the 11th minute, finishing a pass from Selina Boveleth.
The Saints outshot Mars Hill 8-1 in the first half as Isabella Busenbark recorded the lone shot attempt for the Lions.
Limestone carried over the dominance on the offensive end, outshooting the Lions 15-0 in the final 45 minutes of play.
Boveleth led all players with seven shot attempts followed by Amanda Chimbima's four shots, all on target.
Katie Maher made one save for the win while Camryn Miller made five saves in the losing effort.
The Lions return to the pitch on Wednesday, October 6 when they face Lander. Kickoff inside Meares Stadium is set for 5 p.m.
