Lions Receiving Votes in USILA Poll
MARS HILL, N.C.-- The Mars Hill lacrosse team is receiving votes in the first United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Poll, which was released Tuesday.
The Lions are one of four schools receiving votes that sit outside the Top 12. MHC is coming off a season-opening 19-0 victory over Lees-McRae this past Saturday. The Lions are 1-0 on the season. The USILA Poll is the official poll of NCAA Division II Men's Lacrosse.

Future Lion opponent Seton Hill is ranked sixth, while Catawba and Wheeling Jesuit are also receiving votes but are unranked. Mars Hill will face Roberts Wesleyan in a non-conference tilt at Guilford College in Greensboro, N.C. this Sunday, Feb. 17 at 3:00 p.m.
Ten different Lions scored in Saturday's victory over Lees-McRae, led by freshman Will Scott's three tallies. Patrick McMahon, Jesse Mimken and Jack Grinewich combined on the shutout in net.
The USILA is an organization comprised of member colleges and universities that sponsor intercollegiate lacrosse for men. The Association is entrusted to enhance and develop intercollegiate lacrosse by providing leadership, management, and services to its membership.
