Hadzisadikovic, Ardouni named to preseason All-SAC Third Team
Mars Hill men's tennis players Faris Hadzisadikovic and Youssef Ardouni have been named to the preseason All-SAC Third Team, as released by the league Friday.
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Tusculum has been picked first in the 2023 South Atlantic Conference men's tennis preseason poll, the league office announced today. The Pioneers received five first-place votes from the League's head coaches with 130 total points.
Anderson and Wingate tied for the No. 2 slot with 128 points each. Anderson had five first place votes, while Wingate had three. Carson-Newman came in at No. 4 with 105 points, and Lenoir-Rhyne placed fifth in the poll with 102 points.
Lincoln Memorial was voted No. 6 with 88 points. Limestone came in at No. 7 with 79 points, followed by Newberry at No. 8 with 60 points.
Catawba took the No. 9 slot with 57 points and at No. 10 was Coker with 56 points. Mars Hill placed eleventh with 42 points, while UVA Wise received 25 points at No. 12, and Emory & Henry rounded out the poll at No. 13 with 14 points.
In addition to the preseason poll, the SAC announced its preseason all-conference teams. Highlighting the first team were doubles partners Hugo Nossler and Florian Walcher of Wingate, Rhodri Atkinson and Frank Bonacia from Tusculum, and Thibaut Decaluwe and Samuel Winter of Coker.
Atkinson and Walcher were named first team singles, in addition to their doubles honors. Also earning spots on the singles list were Juan Sengariz of Anderson, Mateo Bivol from Newberry, and Marc Janse and Marnix Van Dalen from Carson-Newman.
