Mars Hill defeats Wasps, 4-3
The Mars Hill men's tennis team (3-8, 1-3 SAC) defeated Emory & Henry (4-9, 0-6 SAC) by a score of 4-3 Tuesday afternoon.
MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's tennis team (3-8, 1-3 SAC) defeated Emory & Henry (4-9, 0-6 SAC) by a score of 4-3 Tuesday afternoon.
The Lions claimed the doubles point with the duos of Jose Roa/Diego Lopez and Faris Hadzisadikovic/Eliot Deknuydt winning their matches, 6-4 and 6-2, respectively.
In singles play, the Lions won the first, fourth, and fifth flights. Lopez won his first flight match in three sets while Roa won in straight sets. Marcos Martinez secured the match for the Lions, winning the fourth flight in three sets.
Mars Hill returns to the courts on Wednesday, March 22 when they take on UVA Wise. First serve is set for 4 p.m.
